About the Escuela Key PTA
The Escuela Key PTA is a volunteer-led organization of parents, teachers, staff, and community members working together to enrich every student's educational experience.
Through programs, events, fundraising, advocacy, and volunteer engagement, the PTA helps provide many of the experiences that make Escuela Key such a special place to learn and grow.
Whether you're new to Key or have been part of our community for years, we invite you to get involved. Every membership, volunteer, and donation helps support all of our students.
What the PTA Does
APS funds select field trips. The PTA makes many more possible by funding additional field trips and transportation for all field trips throughout the year.
Coordinates start-of-year school supply kits so every child begins ready to learn.
Provides classroom supplies and resources throughout the year.
Provides scholarships for childcare and enrichment on teacher workdays.
Hosts PTA events throughout the year, including Family Fun Night, International Night, and Cafecitos. Supports school-wide PE celebrations like Rocktober Fest and Field Day.
Funds teacher grants for books, technology, music instruments, PE equipment, and social/emotional learning. Funds teacher professional development.
Sponsors Reflections, STEAM Night, the annual Book Fair, after-school enrichment, and Odyssey of the Mind (OM); partners with Encore Stage & Studio on the 4th/5th grade bilingual play.
Provides meals during parent-teacher conferences and Teacher Appreciation Week, hosts the TOAST Happy Hour, and recognizes staff through the monthly Apicultores Awards.
Helps ensure every family can participate in the Key community through scholarships, school supply assistance, the Holiday Gift Drive, Know Your Rights seminars, and other support programs.
Get Involved
The Escuela Key PTA is powered entirely by volunteers, and there are opportunities for everyone to get involved—whether you have one hour to spare or want to take on a larger leadership role.
You can help at school events, support teachers, join a committee, coordinate a program, serve on the PTA Board, or volunteer behind the scenes from home. Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen our school community.

Join the Escuela Key PTA
The PTA is a fully volunteer-run association of parents, teachers, and community members. Joining the PTA is one of the easiest ways to support your child's school and become part of our community. Annual membership is just $10 per person.
Fundraising and donations make our student programs, teacher support, and community events possible, with more than 90% of funds raised going directly to support our school community.
