Erin Aylor, president@keypta.org

Erin Aylor has three children at Escuela Key -- boy/girl twins in third grade and a daughter in fifth grade.  She has been active in the Escuela Key community since serving as a room parent for her eldest daughter's Kindergarten class.  This is her first year as PTA President; previously she served two terms as the Escuela Key PTA Secretary and a few months as the President-Elect.  Erin's father is originally from Santiago, Chile, and she grew up in various countries across Latin America, including Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Guatemala.  Erin speaks fluent Spanish.  When she is not doing PTA President stuff, you can find Erin running her content marketing business, playing tennis, and reading (especially fantasy and science fiction). Erin Aylor tiene tres hijos en Escuela Key -- mellizos en tercer grado (una niña y un niño) y una hija en quinto grado.  Erin ha sido parte de las actividades de la PTA desde que fue un ¨Padre del Aula¨ cuando su hija mayor estaba en Kínder.  Este es su primer año como Presidente de la PTA, y anteriormente ella fue la Secretaria de la PTA por dos años, y Presidente-Electa por unos meses.  El padre de Erin es originalmente de Santiago, Chile, y ella se crío en varios países en Latinoamerica, incluyendo Costa Rica, la República Dominicana, Peru, y Guatemala.  Ella habla español.  Cuando Erin no está haciendo sus cosas de PTA Presidente, puedes encontrarla manejando su empresa de marketing, jugando tenis, y leyendo (especialmente libros de fantasía y ciencia ficción). Laura Cummings, treasurer@keypta.org

Laura Cummings has two bees at Key, a son in fifth grade and a daughter in first grade. In past years she has served on the Teacher Grants Committee. As Treasurer, Laura is responsible for disbursing PTA funds, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. She is excited to work with the PTA on supporting our Key community.   

Laura Cummings tiene dos abejitas en Key, un hijo en quinto grado y una hija en primer grado.  Anteriormente ha apoyado al Comité de Becas Para Maestros de la PTA.  Como Tesorero, Laura está a cargo de distribuir los fondos de la PTA, contabilidad, y reportes financieras.  Ella está emocionada para trabajar con la PTA en apoyar nuestra comunidad de la Escuela Key. 

Rachel Chang, secretary@keypta.org 

Rachel has two kids at Escuela Key and has helped with PTA communications for the past three years. As Secretary, Rachel is responsible for taking and posting the notes from PTA meetings on the PTA website, as well as managing our membership.  If you have any questions about joining the PTA, please reach out to Rachel!  

Rachel tiene dos hijos en Escuela Key y ha ayudado con las comunicaciones de la PTA durante los últimos tres años. Como secretaria, Rachel es responsable de tomar y publicar las notas de las reuniones de la PTA en el sitio web de la PTA, así como de administrar nuestra membresía. Erin Mascarella, internal-affairs@keypta.org

Erin Mascarella has two children (3rd & 5th) at Escuela Key. She has been active in the Key community for several years in various ways, namely supporting the PTA’s Internal Affairs and Communications Committees, as well as leading a Spring Auction subcommittee last year. She continues to serve as a Room Parent for her youngest son’s grade (as she has done since he has been in Kindergarten). Erin will co-chair the Internal Affairs Committee and be responsible for the planning, coordination, volunteer solicitation, and execution of both PTA-sponsored and school-sponsored activities in the school. It’s all about school spirit and community-building activities and events!  

Erin Mascarella tiene dos hijos (en 3º y 5º grados) en la Escuela Key. Ella ha estado activa en la comunidad de Key durante varios años en varias maneras, en particular apoyando a los Comités de Asuntos Internos y Comunicaciones de la PTA, así como liderando un subcomité de la Subasta de la Primavera el año pasado. Ella continúa sirviendo como un "Padre del Aula" para el grado de su hijo menor (tal como lo ha hecho desde que el estaba en Kindergarten). Erin copresidirá el Comité de Asuntos Internos y será responsable de la planificación, coordinación, solicitud de voluntarios y ejecución de las actividades patrocinadas por la PTA y por la escuela. ¡Adelante con el espíritu escolar y actividades y eventos que fomentan la comunidad!

Megan Krug,  RPcoordinator@keypta.org 

Megan Krug has one child at Escuela Key -- a second grade boy.  She is excited for her younger son to enter in Fall 2023.  Megan started as a room parent two years ago when her eldest son was in kindergarten.  She is excited to continue as a room parent this year and to serve as the overall Room Parent Coordinator.  In this role, she is responsible for coordinating with all of the room parents to support school activities like the Auction and Teacher Appreciation Week, as well as grade/room specific activities like Friday Folders and volunteer opportunities. 

Megan Krug tiene un estudiante en Escuela Key -- un niño de segundo grado.  Ella está emocionada que su hijo menor entrará a Key en el otoño de 2023.  Megan empezó como un Padre del Grado hace dos años cuando su hijo mayor estaba en Kinder.  Ella está emocionada por continuar como un Padre de Grado este año y servir como la Coordinadora de los Padres del Grado en toda la Escuela. En este papel, ella se encarga de coordinar con todos los Padres del Grado para apoyar activitades ecolares como la Subasta Anual de la PTA, la Semana de Agradecimiento a los Maestros, y actividades específicas a cada grado como los Cartapacios de los Viernes y oportunidades de voluntariado. 

Lizette ("Lizzy") Rodriguez Carrk, fundraising@keypta.org 

Lizzy has two students in Escuela Key, in first and second grade. The 2022-23 school year was Lizzy and her family’ first year at Escuela Key, having transferred in from Claremont. The PTA provided her family the opportunity to integrate into Key’s Colmena (Beehive) and make it a smooth transition. At Escuela Key, Lizzy has served as a Kindergarten grade parent and Día de Muertos coordinator. As the Chair of the Fundraising Committee, Lizzy is excited to continue the great work of the PTA that enriches our students’ experience, builds community, and supports our teachers and staff.  Lizzy is fluent in English and Spanish.

Lizzy tiene dos estudiantes es Escuela Key, en primer y segundo grado. El año 2022-2023 fue el primero en Escuela Key para Lizzy y su familia. La PTA les dio la oportunidad de integrarse a la Colmena de Key y que fuera una transición exitosa. En Escuela Key, Lizzy ha participado en las actividades de la PTA como “Padre de Grado” y coordinando la celebración del Día de Muertos. Como coordinadora de recaudación de fondos, Lizzy desea continuar apoyando a la labor de la PTA que enriquece las experiencias de nuestros estudiantes, mantiene el sentido de comunidad y apoya a nuestros maestros y personal administrativo.  Lizzy habla inglés y español.
